About Native Tech

Native Tech is a tertiary education provider based in New Zealand, operating as the education arm of Digital Natives Academy (DNA), a registered charitable trust. It holds NZQA Category 2 Provider status. The organisation's founders have backgrounds spanning two decades in the tech industry and a decade working with young people.

The trust was established in 2014 as a provider of free digital and creative technology programmes for tamariki and rangatahi Māori. Native Tech itself launched in 2022, offering a foundation programme focused on technology, creativity, and personal development.

Native Tech delivers NZQA-accredited programmes at Levels 1 to 3, combining technical training with real-world paid work experience through projects in print-on-demand, AI media production, and events. Learner Services

Native Tech provides the following named student support services:

• Rangatahi Transition Navigators — work with learners to develop plans covering short, medium, and long-term goals, refer students to outside agencies as needed, and assist with obtaining essential documents such as ID, IRD number, bank account, and RealMe.
• Learner Support Administrator — ensures students have the administrative information they need, assists with enrolment issues, and maintains up-to-date records covering attendance, pastoral notes, assessment results, and transcripts.
• Student Representatives — two students represent their peers to share needs, concerns, feedback, and ideas with Native Tech management, and provide input on student-related initiatives such as end-of-term celebrations.
