About Turanga Ararau
Turanga Ararau is the Iwi education provider of Te Rūnanga o Tūranganui ā-Kiwa, a rūnanga established in 1986 to support the Iwi of Tūranganui ā Kiwa — Rongowhakaata, Ngāi Tāmanuhiri, and Te Aitanga ā-Māhaki — while also serving all people within its rohe.
The organisation provides qualifications, skills, and knowledge aimed at enabling Iwi to manage and advance their cultural and economic resources. Outcomes are measured against qualifications gained, employment, and progression to further learning. Graduates have gone on to employment and higher study in Gisborne, Te Tairāwhiti, and beyond.
