About Huntley School (Marton)
Huntley School is a preparatory school with an established boarding tradition. The school accommodates both day and boarding students, with the boarding house housing between 80 and 120 boarders at any one time across two girls' dormitories and four boys' dormitories.
The school is co-educational, catering to boys and girls from its preparatory year levels through to Year 7. Boarding students are permitted to return home most weekends, with two compulsory in-weekends per term. Dormitories are mixed-age, with each student having their own bed and cupboard space. Boarding staff are on duty at all times, and the Headmaster's family residence is connected to the boarding house.
The current Headmaster, Sam, holds a Bachelor of Education from Massey University and has studied Leadership and Management at Sheffield-Hallam University in the United Kingdom. He has also completed the Aspiring Principal Programme through the Ministry of Education and Massey University.
