About Skills4Work Limited

Skills4Work Limited is a Private Training Establishment (PTE) registered with NZQA, based in Manukau, Auckland. It was first established in 1992 within Foodstuffs, became part of Animation College through acquisition in 2014, and was re-established as an independent PTE in November 2016.

The organisation operates as a niche provider within New Zealand's education sector. It is the only NZQA-accredited PTE that both awards the butchery qualification nationwide and manages the end-to-end apprenticeship process for Butchery and Bakery apprentices across New Zealand. In August 2021, it became the first PTE in New Zealand to take on the arranging training function in Retail Butchery, following the government's transition of Industry Training Organisation responsibilities.

In addition to trade apprenticeships, Skills4Work delivers a Workplace Literacy programme and gateway programmes. Its workplace literacy offering has been running for more than 20 years.
