Definition / authority change
The school's legal definition or governing authority changes, for example a change of proprietor or board status. The school usually stays open.
Type change
The school's year range changes, for example from Contributing to Full Primary.
Effective date
The date the Ministry records the change taking effect; it can be in the past or the future.
