About Al-Madinah School
Al-Madinah School is a state integrated area school located in Auckland. It was provisionally registered on 17 August 1992 and received full registration as a full primary school on 17 December 1992. A secondary section was added in 1995, making it an area school, and it was integrated into the state education system in 1996.
The school has an Islamic character and offers courses in Islamic subjects alongside the New Zealand Curriculum. Daily Salaat is held, including Jumma Salaat on Fridays, and Islamic festivals are observed. The school provides specialised study of the Holy Qur'an and runs Hifz classes for students working towards becoming a Hafiz of Qur'an.

Equity Index
The Ministry publishes this figure as a bare number — KuraData shows it against the directory-wide average, so you can see where Al-Madinah School actually sits, not just the number on its own.
The Equity Index estimates the socio-economic barriers students face, on average, and is used to inform government funding and support. It is not a measure of school quality or academic performance.
Higher values indicate a higher level of estimated socio-economic barriers; lower values indicate fewer. Learn how the Equity Index is calculated →
