About Elim Christian College Mt Albert
Elim Christian College Mt Albert is a state-integrated school located in Mt Albert, Auckland, catering for students in Years 1 to 13 with a roll of 450 students. The school opened in January 2024.
The school's proprietor is Elim Christian Centre, a church founded in 1985 whose original vision included establishing a Christian school. A school was established on the current site in 1995 and integrated into the state school system in 1997. As proprietor, Elim Christian Centre owns the land and buildings and is responsible for maintaining the school's special character under its integration agreement with the government.
The school's special character is defined by the Christian beliefs, values, and lifestyle of the Elim church. This character is expected to permeate all aspects of school life, and parents, students, staff, and Board of Trustees members are expected to support it. The school is intended primarily for families of Elim Christian Centre and those connected to similar churches.
The school organises its educational approach around the ARISE framework, which covers five areas: Achievement, Responsibility, Inspiration, Skills, and Elim Christian Character. Each area is linked to a corresponding competency from the New Zealand Curriculum.

Equity Index
The Ministry publishes this figure as a bare number — KuraData shows it against the directory-wide average, so you can see where Elim Christian College Mt Albert actually sits, not just the number on its own.
The Equity Index estimates the socio-economic barriers students face, on average, and is used to inform government funding and support. It is not a measure of school quality or academic performance.
Higher values indicate a higher level of estimated socio-economic barriers; lower values indicate fewer. Learn how the Equity Index is calculated →
